HISTORY
The first historical mentions can be traced back to Roman times when it was a stronghold for defending and controlling the exchanges between the Via tiberina and the Via Fiaminia. The castle itself, however, was built in the 13th century. Little by little, around the castle there were built the houses of the farmers who gathered in search of protection.

The recent restoration work has been carried out with the highest consideration for the original structure of the castle, using high quality materials like "cotto", local stones, tiles and solid wood.
